Default engine size and boat size

is there really too small of a boat size to put a K&B 7.5cc outboard on? i've got it on a 40" deep v but want to put it on the 30" tunnel. do you think that doing that would be too heavy on the back end for the tunnel? thanks

I have had mine on smaller boats than that, so I think you would have fun with a 30" tunnel

The only thing you have to watch is the turning capabillities of the hull, you may need a turn fin
if it won't do what you want.

As for weight, when it starts to plane, the weight is irrellevant......have fun...

It might be just a little too much for a 7.5 OB. The newer 3.5 OB tunnels are around 30" long now with todays powerplants. Look for one that is at least 35" for that motor. You'll need one that large to support the weight of the motor when it dies or flips.
