Default cowl locks pic please...what's best?

How does everyone lock their cowl? Your ideas are welcome.
Can you post pics please?

I've seen the one by aeromarine (picture below).

I can't find pics of the flush mount ones by Prather.

Anyway your ideas are welcome.

Desertbuzz,

Tony at Warehouse Hobbies came up with a great idea. I use it on my boats. Simply go get a nylon hold down clamp like they use for landing gear on R/C airplanes and a small R/C car tie rod ball link and then on the way home stop by your local hardware store and buy a cheap package of small rubber o-rings. Mount the nylon strap down on the hull of the boat trapping the o-ring and the ball link on the hatch and VOILA instant hatch hold down. Works great and if the o-ring breaks (eventually it will get old and crack) you simply replace it. The entire setup may cost $3-4.00 No big holes to drill and you don't need any tools to take your cowl off and on. If you need a picture let me know and I will take one for a demo.

Hope this helps,
Pete

I'm currently using the newest version of Aeromarine's cowl locks on my Sport 40 but if I had waited or looked around a little more, www.grimracer.com has some that are smaller and lighter. Some people are using small rare-earth magnets to secure their cowlings for a cleaner look.
