Default irvine 46 marine or mecoa marine 45 ?

I have a dumas deep v boat and do not want to spend $250 for a motor. After spending some time on the web surfing i found a irvine 46 and a mecoa 45 which is better?

You've found the motors but getting them is another thing. The K&B (MECOA) 7.5's are almost non-existant right now although they are on their site. The Irvine is no powerhouse and they are rarely seen here in the USA. Finding a good new motor for under $250.00 isn't easy but you also want to be able to get parts once you get the one of your choice. I've paid $300.00 for a new .21 and I recently bought a MAC .45 for $350.00 and that was a deal.
