Default Just a quick question about rudder thickness

Hi Im going to build my own hardware. I'm also still in the process of building my own hull from scratch. The boat is around 40 inchs and the rudder will probably be 6 inchs long. The boat will be powered by a featherlite 25cc gas trimmer. I am going to make a rudder with a water pickup built in. I was just wondering what would the thickness of the trailing edge of the rudder for a boat that size.

Thanks jeremy

1/4" if the blade will have pick ups. You can do 1/8" if a seperate pick up is installed.
