radio
i bought a futaba transmitter for my boat. I need a 1/4 steering servo for the steering. Can i mix and match different brands of radio equipment for the futaba system. Like a hitec or something like that.

Yes to a certain extent! Servos are interchangable. The one you have to watch for are the older Airtronica servos as they had a different wiring pattern for the plug but you can buy adaptors to solve this. As far as receivers go I believe that Futaba and Hitec are interchangable and Jr, Airtronics, and KO are interchangable. Hope this helps.
