Do you need 1/4 scale servos for the large boats(57") or will a stardard size High torque servo work??? the one I have is a GWS SO3T the torque is over 100 oz/in, if I remember right it`s 111 oz/in

No, you don't. Todays selection of servos are putting out more torque that what the 1/4 scale servos did a few years ago in a standard sized case. I've turned 7.5 OB engines with 100 oz./in. servos so if it can move that much weight around it shouldn't have any trouble swinging a rudder.

Thanks Ron, I`ll go ahead and use the GWS cause it`s brad new.. I`ve got my eye on a 139 oz/in @4.8v and 189 oz/in @6v it`s a Hi tech Brute Force (I think Hi Tech)
