I desperately need to find some club, lake or anything, near the Bay Area in California, that will let me run a Nitro boat. If I can't find any place, I won't be able to really ever build one that I already have lined up, so please, if anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

My folks still live in Westlake(since 1953) and I remember as a kid my dad use to take us down the lake(north lake) to watch the
boat races(real boats).
We took our boats out there a few weeks ago to the little south lake with our inflatable for those just in cases. Its the second time I ran my boats and had no problem with the law,but whoses to say I did'nt just get lucky.
Since they closed down the boat house(pay fishing) and all the political bs that is surrounding the lakes future now is the time to go and who knows maybe with enough of us we can turn that small lake into a boating club.
We used to run boats out at Spreckles Lake in Golden Gate Park, but now its just for steamers and sailers.

Spreckles lake had some issues a couple of years ago. They didn't like the noise of gas and nitro boats so they tried to enforce some ridiculous dB levels for boats plus a speed limit. The dB levels were in the 70's, a level that passing traffic couldn't meet. The speed limit was like around 15 MPH. For a while there was an online petition that was signed by people all over the world. Spreckles Lake was well-known throughout the country for some of the races that used to be held there. Too bad that it has gone the way of too many other running sites.
