Default 7 cell on boat?

Would a 7 cell battery on my boat make it go faster or slow it down because of the weight? I also have watercooling on my boat. My motor is 550. Boat is a shockwave 26. Thanks Matt

Hi Matt,

The extra cell will give you more speed.

Regards, Jan.

Faster? Yes!
Runtime? Longer. (depending on prop set up)
Just make sure that your 550 class motor can handle 7 cells.
An example of 550 class motors that are not designed to run on 7 cells are the Trinity Monster Maxx.
They are designed to run on 6 cells.

You're boat will be faster, but adding cells does not increase runtime.
