I've seen boats, planes, cars, helicopters, tanks and ufos, but other than the old nikko toy hovercrafts, I've not seen any good ones....do they exist?

Most moderate sized are scratch built from plans, there are a few large petrol powered hovercraft models on the market, use the search function.

Attack,
Yes, in fact there is one company that I am aware of that does produce a hovercraft kit in R/C form. I have a friend that has one and I did have a chance to run it. It is very different and very fun to operate. I can vouche for that. Here is their E-mail address http://www.hovercraftmodels.com/ The one my friend has is the SK-5 gunboat. It runs on a regular R/C car stick battery pack. The body is made from some sort of lexan, much like a car.
Best regards,
Pete

Just how big is the size of a good quality hovercraft are you looking for?
I have a 30" x 14" E.P. Hovercraft.
It is a scale model of the U.S. Navy LCAC-1.
It has twin lift E.P. motors, Twin E.P. propulsion motors (540 class) & runs on 14 sub-C cells.
The company that makes it is called Kinetics Inc.

I didn't think Kinetics was still in business.
Do you have a web site or any contact info for them?

Here's their contact number: (206) 641-5611. I found that on the Instruction manual that came with the E.P. hovercraft kit I have (LCAC-1 U.S. NAVY). It's an old stock that was gathering dust at the LHS that I visited.
Here's the link to the website that still sells them: [link]http://www.quicktechhobby.com/Hovercrafts/Hovercrafts/LCAC%20HOVERCRAFT.htm[/link]
I'm not sure if those r/c hovercraft kits are "old stocks".

I was lucky About 9 years ago, I got a Kinetics Comando hovercraft with all that it came with A profession built it for me, I'm into helicopters, and it can out great I feel with a little work, it might be one of the best out there since that company did fine work. Im selling the finished set, probably on Ebay in about a week, top of the line radio and all If your interested, Ill send you all the info.
