I'm thinking about purchasing a boat and was first thinking a tunnel hull I like the 35-50mph+ speeds "Prather" or "Auqacraft" and the design, but I also like this "Aquacraft" V24 gas powered boat. I can not find any information on the speed for the V24? I've played with nitro trucks and airboats and I assume gas is simpler. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Gas is much simpler than any nitro boat. There is no need for field equipment and the fuel is much cheaper. I'd suggest staying away from the Prather Lap Cat if you plan on racing. It's an outdated design. Can't beat the TS2 for price. Since the V24 is 54" long, you'll have to think of how the boat will be transported to the lake. With the supplied Fuji motor, speed is unknown. Certain a motor upgrade will push the boat faster. Tunnel boats need near smooth water conditions to perform to their fullest. While the V24 will handle white cap waves.
It really depends on water condition and what your personal preference is.
