Twinstorm 800
Hi everybody!!!
I'm an happy owner of an powerful Kyosho Twinstorm 800.
After many runs I have changed original motors with two Traxxas Titan Marine and original battery packs with two 2400NiCd 8,4V by Sanyo. Wow!!
Now some question:
-It's even better NiCd batteries than NiMh batteries?
-I have changed the original transmission (gears and pinions), always with original spare parts, due to normal use.
After a little run with the two new motors I have melted the 40T plastic gear. Any suggestion? Due to more motors power, is necessary to change pinion and gear with others?
When I have mounted new parts I have noticed that coupling between gear and pinion is a little close, it's possible to record it? I think that it's the problem...
-I read in this forum that is possible to change the cardanic transmission near the propeller with a omocinetic solution. I have tried some universal joint from Graupner and Robbe, but both are too longer... Any suggestion? I see some photos in the forum, what kind of replacement metallic universal joint is used?
-I read that is possible to mount 2 motors type 700sc Super charged to get impressive velocity.... How about motor changing? (pinion, gear, motor support, ecc.).
I'm sorry for my english and too many question...
Thanx in advance.
