Whats the farthest you can go without losing control of the boat? My Aqua Jet came with one & I was wondering how far you could take it.

You can pretty much take it as far as you want to retrieve it. Most radio systems are good for 1/4 mile which at that distance, it's a speck on the water.

ok, thanks. I thought that a cheap radio like that wouldent get much range.

All R/C radio systems must be approved by the FCC so just because they look cheap, they still must meet the same basic criteria as the high-dollar ones.
It's really not a bad radio system for the price. Ugly, yes it is kind of. I've found it to be just as good if not better than some that I've used in its price range that were major brand names.
