RE: 0.49 boats
It's .049, not 0.49, two completely different sizes.
There aren't too many around, Dumas www.dumasproducts.com had 2 of them, a mono, the Deep-Vee 10, a flat bottomed boat and an outrigger hydro, none that were what you'd call fast boats. Also an airboat which would be a better bet for your engines if you wanted to try R/C gear in one plus much easier to build.

RE: 0.49 boats
Check out pics of my Dumas short stuff 18" hull in my gallery. Tried first boat with an .049 and it was not very reliable. Always brining it back to shore to adjust the high speed needle. The maghony cracked and Dumas sent me a 2nd kit. I did the second one with the Maghony rails and Balsa and silk covered with fiberglass resin..
Hate to say it but an OS .10 would be a better choice if you want a boat that small with a glow motor.. The OS doesnt do a bad job very reliable on jetting since it has a REAL carb.
Have been there and tried it. The .049 even had a cool clamp on the head and a throttle exh to vary speed.
If you want any close up pics let me know and I could take some for you of the os .10 setup
If you want a small boat for not much $$ electric would be much better and possibly cheaper
