Not sure why it's happening, but I've seen it too. I've reported the problem.

Site glitch, the Admin's are working on it.
It'll be nice when they get the new server online, hopefully none of the bugs that they're starting to have.

I posted a pic that was 800x600 and it worked fine. The problem only applies to REALLY BIG pictures.

I just tested and found that 1024x768 also works fine. For those on Windows you can resize a picture in many ways. One simple method is to open the picture with MS photo editor and select image->resize. Change the width or height to a smaller number. The one you are not changing will automatically resize to keep the proportion the same. When you have the correct size, save the picture with a different name, so you don't lose the resolution of the original, and then post it. For typical web viewing 800x600, or 600x800, provides a good balance between download speed and resolution.

I'll update this thread when I hear something back from the admins, but in general, it's a good idea to reduce the size of pictures when uploading.

It may be related to which RCU server you are on. If anyone hits the problem, go to the top of the window and click on the magazine link. Then go to the very bottom and toward the left you will find the server (RCUn). Once you have the server number, post it and a link to the post with the problem picture in this thread. Thanks...

Random test picture. It seemed to take a little longer than usual to load, even on this tin can and a string dial-up.

Thanks. I took that at a race in Fort Wayne, IN that my son and I drove down to. It was just after one of my surgeries so I didn't enter as I was still a little messed up from what I had just gone through. I was standing right by Jim Irwin when I took that shot.

I type too much!

Even when I was encountering the problem, it only happened on pics that were larger. 1024x768 and smaller and smaller worked fine. I've also found if you're on RCU1 or RCU4 larger ones are ok.
