HOW DO YOU FIGURE SCALE?

Default HOW DO YOU FIGURE SCALE?

I HAVE A BOAT QUESTION, I HAVE A 57" APACHE HULL NOT INCLUDING THE Z-DRIVE AND I NEED TO FIGURE OUT THE SCALE OF THE MODEL. DOSE ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THAT OR COULD TELL ME WHAT THE SCALE IS?

Take the full-scale boat's LOA (centerline length) from bow to transom, convert it to inches, then divide by 57 (length of your model).

say the full size is 35 feet. 35 x 12 = 420. 420/57 =7.19xxxx. Your boat would be about 1/7 scale.

I thought they (an Apache) were more like 38 feet, that makes the model an 1/8 scale.
