Default Opinions wanted!!Help needed on hydro boats!!

Hi,Can anyone help me?I'm new at rc boats.I got a 1/12 Miss Budwiser off of ebay and got ripped. The boat hull had damages and I'd fixed it but I think I'd made it heavyer and the .15 Dynamite motor froze up=broken rod.So I'd converted a speed storm hydro into nitro. I saw one on ebay that the guy converted over to nitro and put a .21 in it. One guy told me the boat should wade 4 1/2 pound with a motor in it.What should a 1/12 scale hydro boat way? And can I fit a big block in the miss bud .21 to .28? Can you guy give my any advice? And what's the best/fastest nitro can I put in it? Is there anyone out there who are into Hydro boat's that I can get advice and tip's from? Please let me know? Thankyou very much and have a nice day.

a better question is, what kind of difference in weight are we talking about?
What did you repair it with. If you reapaired it the wrong way, your hydro is gonna flip or porpoise, you dont want that....... any pics.

I did the standerd fiberglass repair on it and poored resen in it and swished it around inside to coat it on the inside.Beause proboat are to thin to thicken the hull alittle. And I can see why they crack all over alot. I've been doing autobody work for 19 years.
