Default Super G owners, please give suggestions on radio.

Right now im using a Futaba Magnum 3pm and have had nothing but glitching probs with this setup with a Super G. Only happens when th motor is running, so I think thats kind of wierd. It works fine when I do a radio check up to 150 ft away and motor is off. Boat is undrivable when running. Maybe interferience is coming from the motor? Im to a point of maybe trying a new radio and need suggestions on ones people used here with no probs? Or maybe someone has the same setup and had the same prob?

How far away from the motor is the radio equipment? It may be too close and like you said getting interference. It may be possible to sheild the receiver, I am not sure how to though.

Not limited to just G's. Try some simple trouble shooting:

Change the plug

Metal to metal contact anywhere's?

How far is the antenna from the plug wire?

Another... its your boat & your liability if something happens so don't run it till its fixed. Take the prop off, fire it up on the stand and have a buddy walk out with the Tx while you stay with the boat & watch the radio box for glitching if/when it occurs. Hope you get it going soon.
