Hey guys,
I'm pretty new to RC's and my "boating" experience besides toys involves a couple of hydro "flyers" i've built from kits.
What I have is a 20+ year old V-hull toy boat that I had as a kid - I know what I need to do concerning my current transmitter and receivers, but I need some help in choosing a motor (and mounting it) as well as some details concerning the current driveshaft/rudder, servos etc.
I'll post some pictures later, but basically it's a plastic v-hull about 22 inches in length by 8-10 inches wide. It has a single engine/propeller and originally was set up for a large battery pack with 2 servos and mechanical speed control - it never worked very well originally (mostly due to it being 1986).
Thanks in advance,
Stephen Foster

you may get a little more help over in the electric section. Not sure what you are wanting to do, but that hull is way to small for any gas motor, and wouldnt trust it with even a .12 nitro motor. Maybe a decent 10 turn or something car motor on a few cells would get it movin along.
