Default SCALE CALCULATION QUESTION!

Hi all
How do you work how big a model is from the actual size of the real boat and the scale the model is modeled at?
The one im trying to do 17m ( ORIGINAL BOAT) on a scale of 1/72
PLEASE HELP

divide the length by the ratio factor (72 in this case). It will be easier if you convert the original length to CM or MM in this case (say 17000mm / 72 = 236mm)
