Default 1/4 scale tunnel

I am looking to get a set of the 1/4 scale tunnel plans by jerry dunlap. I do not see that RC Boat modeler carries it. Any ideas or alternatives

A Woodstuff hull if you're interested in seeing one.

Ouch $675 I built both the 3.5 and the 1/4 scale some time back. Sold both but not for that. I think I will try to get a hold of the plans again and build myself one. OUCH

I do like the aeromarine BUT I also get some satisfaction out of building my own. Plus I want to include my son in on the build. Problem is the 1/4 scale plans are seeming hard to come by. I checked with Jerry Dunlap and he put me in touch with someone who might have what I need. If I get them I will want to make some templates for future builds and mods down the road

I do have the Aeromarine, not too sure on it still. Never did like the Aeromarine Predators, transom is too far forward for my taste. Even bringing this back, the boat just doesn't handle.

Woodstuff boats are sweet, seen them in person and have talked with Mike alot about them. He keeps trying to get me to buy one. Was tempted once, but like Harry, I like to build them.

Oh yea, Harry, still trying to find that CD of the plans. House is a mess, GF is in the process of moving in. Along with that, my kids are down for the week, kinda have my priorities with them over the boats. But rest assured, I'll find that CD for ya in short order.

Ouch $675

OUCH
I agree, I love tunnels but can't justify spending so much on just an empty hull.

Do you have photos of your completed Predator? Final engine and radio setup?

Ryan, been busy with the kids and such. I'll see what can be done to get pics of the radio / engine setup in short time.

The Woodstuff boat is very nice. Believe it could take a direct hit and come out the winner. The cowl is made by Phil Thomas, class act in itself. Nicely done in glass..

Thanks. I'm really interested in the gas tunnel idea. I may do one up for myself around next spring or so. Just getting ideas for modeling the hull and setup in SolidWorks.

I don't see a pull start on there. Do you think it would cause too mcuh stress on the hull if the pull start was used? What kind of starter on 24+v is needed?

Ryan

P.s. make sure you check out the tunnel threads in the nitro section
