Idea - Extend a servo rotation to any position.
Idea - Extend a servo rotation to any position.
Bring the 3 pot contacts out of the servo.
At the end points of the desired travel, you have a contactor that makes contact with a 2,500 ohm resistor (or other correct value) at one end and the lead from the servo at the other end. The servo is satisfied with the correct signal voltage and it stops.
I am currently using a free running servo and a homemade slip clutch.
It will rotate until the wires wrap tight and then the clutch slips.
