Default electric boat setup

Dear Forum Members
,
I am brand new to rc boating and need some help choosing components, please.
This will be my first rc boat

I want to build a boat with the following characteristics:
Approx 48 inches in length
Slow speed, not a race boat.
Long running time-several hours
Quiet operation
Maneuverability
Shallow water operation
I will use a spektrum dx6 radio
I want to use the Graupner mini jet drive with reverse mechanism.

I need help in selecting an appropriate:
Battery
ESC
Motor
What other items would be required, such as connecting the motor to the jet drive?
What cooling would this require if any?

I am a complete newbie. Please forgive my ignorance. Constructive comments appreciated.
Thanks,
Danny

A few questions to help clarify -
48" and shallow, but what do you call shallow?
How wide? The length, width and depth determine the weight, which in turn determines what it can carry in the way of batteries.
At the performance you mentioned, water cooling would not be needed at all.
No experience with water jet units, so I cant contribute much there.

I believe the jet drive requires very high rpm. This means a high revving motor and impeller, which will negate your requirement for "quiet operation".

I suggest using a standard propeller drive, which will be able to operate virtually silently on a direct drive motor.
