running boat in rainy weather?
Hello Everyone,
I haven't tried my BJ26 BL out on the water yet because the weather was really windy in the past day or so. But now it's just a light rain with no wind. Would running the boat in the rain hurt it in any other way besides getting the insides wet? (such as a weak radio signal)

as long as your electronics are sealed, go have some fun. your boat will be fine, it's you that you need to worry about. try and stay dry yourself

What type of boat you have? Longest you keep the inside's dry you said be fine. I use to ran my electric speed boat on the missouri river. I live in the downtown St Louis area. And not to many places to ran it here. Use to ran it in the rain too.

if you have to stand out in the rain, get a gallon zip lock, poke a hole thru it, put the attenna thru the hole.. This will keep the TX dry... Have fun!
I have vid somewhere that has the 2004 IMPBA Internats with a couple of heats in rain. One it started to pour down during the heat.

Running And trying to shoot each other in the rain...Down pour actually...
And here... What you don't see, in the second image are the nine rc sailboat just to the right.
With a GRP, fiberglass or ABS boat you don't have to worry much about any parts warping. You shouldn't get any more water in the boat than if it was sunny.
Do pay attention to keeping the transmitter dry though. Large Ziploc work also.
