i was woundering what the best way to strip the paint from a fiberglass hull would be.

iwould say sand it the best u can and then refiberglassing it.

If it is decent paint but you just dont like the look of it, I would just wet sand it all smooth and re-paint it.

I would tend to stay away from any kind of chemical stripper, for fear of hurting the fiberglass resin as your probably wondering.

Easy off oven cleaner... then wash and sand the hull

There are strppers out there that are made especially for stripping paint from fiberglass without harming the surface. This is just one example of many:

your local autobody paint store has spray can striper for fiberglass and plastic. wont harm the fiberglass or plastic surface.[8D]

I cant remember now,but can get the info by tomarrow morning. Got to get some materials at my local paint store. I know 3M makes a fiberglass striper and SEM does too. You can try with these two brands.[8D]
