I use this radio and also use several different fail safes. I have had no glitching problems. You say that without the failsafe the glitching is a bit better. Does that mean it is still there? You should have no glitching at all. I suggest if you still have glitching then the cause may not be the failsafe, it may just be enhancing the symptom.

The problem is not with the radio but the OFNA failsafe, too many glitches too many problems (not just with that radio system) and you will find threads on that issue aswell.
you are talking about the OFNA micro failsafe correct?.
I use the XS3 in all of my boats and I have Zero problems, I use the Duratrax failsafe. The Futaba micro failsafe, the Duratrax and Venom are great.
ensure you are using 4.8(4 cell) to 6 Volts(5 cell) NiCd or NiMh battery pack and not alkaline.
Like Grant said, you should not have any glitches what so ever, but the OFNA Failsafe is also a problem just on its own, replace it (not with another OFNA).

all 3 that I have mentioned in my post are good, if you use a 5cell - 6volt pack use any of the 3, if you use 4cell - 4.8volt pack don't use the Venom.
Venom low Battery is set to 4.2Volts, so if your using a 4.8 volt pack that doesn't give you a lot of play. The other 2 failsafe low voltage are set at 3.8volts.
again, only use rechargeable batteries not Alky.
