i have a brushless 36 volt 41 inch graupner
my ? is i cant keep the u joint from breaking i have went thru 2 stainless steel ones, does anyone have a better plan to keep these from breakin?

Hi Bob.
Don't use a universal coupler with that kind of power.
Make sure the allignment is perfect and use a solid coupler.
Please show us some pics of your boat and it's set-up.

So the Ujoint is part of an outdrive?Maybe try nylon joints like those on the Traxxss Villain?Might allow for more flexing without breaking but 36V brushless is a lot of power for any Ujoint![8D]

I didn't realise you had a steering outdrive..., a solid coupler would be of very limited use...
Steering outdrives can only handle so much power, if you go beyond that, you'll be replacing the UC ad nausium.
Better is changing the setup to a strut with a seperate rudder, which will last indefinate.
