I finally decided on which boat to get. I ended up buying the shockwave 36. I was debating between the shockwave 36 and thundercat 31, and chose the shockwave because it seems to be the better of the two according to the searches I have conducted on the forums here.
I am new to nitro boats and want to get some tips on breaking the motor in properly. Should I leave the motor at the factory setting while breaking it in? How many tanks of fuel does it take until the motor is fully broken in? What precautions should I take? Should I seal the radio box with tape or silicon? Do I need to make any adjustments to the boat? Any info will be greatly appreciated... Thanks guys

No, shipping is free nationally. I was going to buy the boat off hobbytron.com, but this hobby shop on ebay is located only 2 hours north of me, so if I have any problems I can simply drive up.

I see a few shockwave 36's on ebay but they seem to only do local delivery (US)
Do let us know how you go once you get it and take it for a spin

I love my Shockwave 36. I would look into getting a spare glow plug or two. Nitro motors tend to burn them out during break in.

The shockwave 55 is nice too but it costs like a grand?
Rio 51 looks beautifull and for gas it's cheap compared to the 55
I'd like a Rio...
