broken rudder

Um, a little more information? What kind of boat? Who makes it? What kind of radio system? Is this a "toy" boat or hobby quality? What have you done to it? This information will be needed to give an accurate assessment. Oh yeah, welcome to RCU!

Its a hobby boat, quite big. Its hand made so im not sure difference that will make. Its a 5 band system and is a normal monohull boat. Ive got the propellar workig which wasnt working at first. Also, there is a tube that the propellar squirts water into, sends it through a tube round the boat and sprayes it out the back. I was wondering if that would do anything. Please help. It will be much appreciated.

If it doesnt turn, its either seized or the rudder shaft is bent.
If it does turn freely, its the radio / servo.
Plug the rudder servo in to another Channel on the RX, does it work then?
If it doesnt work, its the servo thats at fault

yes you need it, the water goes to your engine head too cool it.
The other way you can do without that tube is to replace the rudder blade with a one that has the water pick up built in.
