Let me first give you the back story so you don't think that I killed a dock. March of this year looking through the adds here in the market place I found a 1/12 nitro Miss Bud. I purchased it a week later I recive it it was absolutly the most atractive boat I had ever seen, it was a strait shaft drive ( oldest one made) and in alot better than advertised shape. About late may I decided that having only ran it once I should sell it, it listed and sold on ebay for about what I had payed for it. Weeks later I get an email from the buyer he says it is totaly trashed and must have been damaged during shipping. This can happen I guess I had used a locally do all store to ship it to him( they packed it and fedex it all in one high priced stop). He files a paypal conplaint evan after I had told him that I had the thing inshured for more than he paid and we would find out what it would take to recover his loss. He refused to ship it back to me, paypal asked him to ship it to me he never did. Today just out of the blue I get it back WOW its destroyed, the rear fins or off how in the wourld can this happen from shipping?? I have posted some before anfter picks I don't know what to do is this even worth trying to fix, can it be fixed, were is the line were something is just to far gone ? I can't belive what was once one of the nicest boats I had ever ran is now in a parts been! Any how I could really use some pro advice. Many thanks AX

yepper!! Thats an easy fix!!! I saw worse and done worse to my boat. took a chunk right out of the left sponson cracked the rear transom too on other hull. OK I'd bought two Miss Bud flex drive hull from ebay, there were new but damaged from shipping, that why the hobby shop was selling them. They had the same damage side seam split. Heres what to do, first thing is to sand the side split crack with 80 grit then blow/clean it out. Then use epoxy into the cracked seam and tape it together so it will close the gap up.Then the sponson runner, sand the gelcoat off that area and regelcoat it with epoxy or fiberglass reson. Sand it with 80 grit first before regelcoat. after it dryies then resand with 80-100 grit. you might have to regelcoat/reson it one more time.you might have to use polly puddy to get the imperfections out of it. sand to prime use 180 grit.after priming it one or twise.then wet sand with 320-400 paper, then clean it with tar&wax remover before paint,if you dont have it use denatured alcol to wash it. Before you paint it,you need to spray white for your base for the red or it will come out two shades darker. Paint to match the bud red is a 94 KIA code E blaze red. Dupont NASON # is N98891F Blaze Red!! I had my Miss Bud paint computer scanded and it came out to the KIA car paint code. Matched great!! But you must use white base or primer to have that red matched wright. Most all RTR are painted white before colors goes on them that why there so bright!

I wouldnt opend it up! just tip the boat upside down and shake it around too see if whatever is in there will come out. Oh if the fiberglass cloth isnt damaged just sandout the damaged gelcoat and regelcoat it. If the cloth is damaged then you may have the refiberglass cloth that area? If you need any other help with it just let me know.

Just an FYI:
I removed my rear vertical stabilizers, wing and hardware and put them in a bag. Will sell them if you want. Make offer if interested.

Man you two what the heck have you been doning?? Playing demolition derbie??? Well avoidingexpert that the same spot I'd recked with my blue angel aka was the miss bud. I'd ended up hitting a hidden rock and my boat shot up 3 1/2' in the air and spun 180. Boy I was upset bigtime!! Took my other Miss bud and used it as a modle and made a new left front sponson front tip. turned out great!

Well do you want the story I tell friends or the truth??????
You see I was minding my own business, driving the boat and up popped this beaver,it must have weighed 50 lbs.
I swerved but hit him right in those big bucked teeth....
Ok,the truth...
I was driving it without my glasses and hit a plastic buoy in the lagoon pictured here. But the beaver really was in the lagoon later that weekend.
1st time we'd ever seen one here.

But if it dies out I have to swim after it or she will![

If your going that fare with that hull?? I'd would sudjest to sand the back of the transom and lay a fiberglass cloth on that back because it loves to crack and screws love to strip out easly on the rudder bracket.
