Some people just like their boats and accessories. I'm partial to other brands myself but I'm going to be placing an order probably today for a few of their items.
For a RTR boat especailly for a new boater, they will take a beating but I wouldn't buy one for competition unless it's the new one that coming out soon. Yes, a serious race boat is in the works.

No - not a current advertiser - not sure if they ever were. FYI here is a list of advertisers - http://www.rcuniverse.com/allsponsors.cfm
I know I have nothing bad to say about their products - I have one and think it hard to beat for the $$

From everything I have seen on RCU WHH's reputation is well deserved. I have never read anything bad about them, their products or service.
It's safe to say their reputation on RCU has been earnt by hard work and not been 'bought'. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

Tony is the best I have ever done business with.
I wonder if they ever hear about these discussions on here.
20+ years or experience and some really cool boats over the years and the same few are still out there running from the 80's.
Here is my old Revenge that I got off ebay been restored with the new clutch system and grease cone.
ISO pad also.

Yeah, that's what I miss about being a Mod, the truckloads of free stuff that manufacturers send us all the time for mentioning their names over and over!
Hang on, I'm drying the tears from laughing so much!

Any company that sells a quality product and/or has great service will find their way into threads.
I just placed my second order to them yesterday, my first one was a long time ago, maybe 6-8 years back. I've dealt with a lot of good businesses and some that were shaky at best.
With a company that has been doing business for 25 years August 18th, they must have been doing something right.

Warehouse Hobbies built a reputation on quality, excellent service and helping the beginner & experienced enjoy the hobby as much as possible. My history comes from being an old nitro boater as a teenager. But 15 years later, the article in Radio Control Boat Modeler with the SuperG' on the front page came out. Man, I drooled over that article. Still got it stashed away and can almost quote most of it. The author wrote as to how easy the directions made things, assembling the rudder/strut and radio etc. Just cake.
After the umpteenth time reading it, I picked up the phone and called. Spoke directly with Mr C' and told him I wanted one and where it needed to be shipped. He quickly realized that my address was an overseas location due to my military status at the time. With no hesitation, the man gave me a quick $100 off to help with shipping. Wasn't looking for a handout, but he offered. Indeed, that hit me real hard. Just pure generousity. When the boat finally arrived, it was much better than expected. Built like a brick outhouse and took tons of abuse. Since then, I've owned four hulls from them & would love to own a Magnum.
The quality is not within question. Maybe not the fastest, but one of the best built. Am I a supporter? You could say that. Thanks for letting me share. I need to go run a boat.

The funny thing is that you wrote into the magazine talking about this very same thing and your letter got published! I remember reading one of the old issues and seeing your name in there.
The only time that my name was ever there is when I subscribed and it was on the cover.
