hi there, is it normal for you to put some kind oh hole in the back area of the boat....so air doesnt get trapped?
i just bought a new boat in here and noticed that it is flawless except for a round hole in the back above the strut...is this for venting air, or..well just curious

The very short and simple answer is, no, that's not 'normal'. The not so short and simple answer is, it can be 'normal' for some particular set of circumstances, conditions, or use. Just depends, sort of. It would help a great deal if you could show a picture of the boat and hole.

If it's a small hole and your boat needs water to cool the engine or motor, that hole may have been an exit for a water line to hook to a water pickup.May have been a prop blast pickup or a rudder inline with the prop.I also have a small hole 1/4" in one of the corners of the top of the transom to tip the boat and drain out any water in the hull.I don't run auto bailors(sinkers)
