A buddy built her up. I was in the process of converting it to a pir of inline zenoahs but switched back to the twin CMB35 RS motors it has in the pics.

I had to move it yesterday in my basement - it is no easy task single handed. I would bet it weighs more than 80 pounds.

Some slow loading video of her running here - http://imageevent.com/justaddwata/ju...tajetboatvideo

My goal is to get her back in the water again this year

Awesome! [sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif]

Thanks for the pics and video.

Just watching the video I would not have had any idea it is such a large model because it gets up and scoots like the smaller models I am used to. It must be as impressive as all get out in person!

I think this is what he's getting next:
On the waiting list for one Ron. Same size as the Gecko. Probably just as well I am waiting for one as it gives me some time to make some room.

Thegoodson - I have not made any modifications to the hull presently. I have seen a large delta removed from the last step on other hulls and now see the manufacturer has changed the mold slightly. I have a few things I want to try to see if I can get the bow up - moving and adding weight to the transom being one of the changes. Fuel tank is going from the front of the hatch to the very back - about 3ft aft.

Hopefully you'll see yours before I get to see one. I'm in the same boat club as Tom but I may have to wait until April in Toledo to take a gander.

Hope your insurance covers this one when it goes nutty and hits a person. Right now most homeowners policies cover RC models. A accidents from these will bring swift restrictions on size, HP & speeds. Noisey ?

Remember the RC race boat that came into shore and bounced off a rock and caused the person to go into a coma for months / years ?

every part .

Not superstitious - but just awesome of you to say "when it goes nutty" and not "if it were to go nutty".

I am not some clumsy fool who just stumbled into this hobby or inherited 46 gas boats. I have built them and run them for 25 years. I am the guy who preaches and teaches everyone else about being safe. I am the guy who carries a fire extinguisher, life vest, and first aid kit in my tool box - and not because I need them.

But if it will help you sleep at night - I have insurance on my boats

OK, using the old adage reworked, once a Mod, always a Mod this is kind of getting out of hand for what began as a nice thread. Matt, go ahead and delete or edit it if you want but I gotta throw my 2 cents in.

Matt uses the best stuff and his homeowners insurance covers his boats well, I'm sure that he made sure of that.

OK, next to Cyclone. Dude, you worry about Matt yet you've got kids operating a boat although with an R/C operated shut-off, I don't know about New Jersey but here in Michigan it's illegal for a child to operate any motorized boat I believe under the age of 14 not including of course R/C. There was an article years ago about a person who built an R/C operated tug boat that was large enough to carry a passenger yet he had to have it registered just like a full-sized boat because of that as they got popped doing that.

Thanks Ron. I will check into the legality of the state & the fact that it is on our own lake.

Did not mean to ruin your post Matt. I have always taken the safety of our oversized boats much more seriously after the , Bounced of the rock mishap.

Well ment concerns came off badly.

Rich
