Hi all, i am building a 56" aeromarine apache, can't decide on engine Quickdraw 25HT or would i get more speed from the Quickdraw 35. The layup of the hull is a bit on the heavy side. Can anyone advise ? any help would be graitfully appreciated.

Thanks for your reply - another idea - SG Racing 35 or Blata 40 ? need some real speed out of this thing !

My Feedback: (3)

If your after real speed I would consider a boat other than a 56" Apache.
But of the motors you have listed - the SG35 would be head and shoulders the fastest. Blata might come in second. 25 third and QD35 4th.
Of course - there has been no race between any of the boats listed - just my opinion which I think should be pretty accurate. I have about 25 hours run time with a QD35 powered 56 apache and have run a Blata. No experience with the SG but it is a wildcat from all experienced reports I have read.

My 56 apache with a 25 quickdraw does 92km/hr, I haven't had or seen one go with a 35 qd only on video which JT claimed to be doing around the 100k but the pick would be the SG35, I haven't seen it doing over 100k but they do claim it is. With the blata engine you won't fit it in unless you have the pipe hanging out of the top somewhere, ugly.[:'(]
