Depends on which one(s) that you're looking at. The newer ones have had a lot of testing done before they're released to the public but even then, some handling issues were reported but were easy fixes.
The hulls are very well built and will take a beating.
Which one(s) are you looking at? The popular ones you may have to get on a waiting list for.

Oh yeah, nice boat. I've never seen one run so well in rough water! If I were going to buy an AC mono, that would be my pick.

Lazer 45 hull is a very excellant hull. There are some other boat manufactures that have coppied the bottom of that boat (look at the aeromarine XXX). Not a fast boat in calm water, but in heat race water it will wake up and fly. Boat is built very well, I like the fact that the deck is tied into a support that is attached to the rails inside the boat by another plywood piece to give it much more strenth. Everyone that I know that runs one has been really happy with theres, Just cannot say enough good things about it. If you build one, put a modded motor in it, the boat likes horsepower, the razor is a better boat for a stock motor but is built just as well.

Had one on E-bay with a buy-it-now at $395. It did not sell. Re-list lower ??? Maybe I'll look at it again. I agree it handles the rough water amazingly! Performance specs are unreal. Father-inlaw lives where these boats are made and can get him to buy one and bring up with him when they visit......

Had the chance to see his boats on the water this past summer. He came up with a couple of other guys for a days boating with us.He was trying out a new hydro hull and they had a few lazers. The lazers were really fast and stable. The new hydro hull was incredibly stable, fast and cornered excellent. It was so impressive we ordered 3 hulls.

Cristian, you've known me for a long time around here and I wouldn't recommend a boat unless it was good. I may be picking up one next Saturday as somebody offered me a great deal on one. After seeing them in action with my own eyes I can see why people want them. Build it right and you won't be disappointed!

Hi Ron, is nice ear about you and that you remember me, well..my passion are on the tunnels and outboards but a local fellas went to Miami last december a bougth this hull with all hardware, stock Zenoah 26cc and wet pipe from Crown Hobbies store, he wanted a gas mono and before he gone i recomended IMO my favorites mono brands (Seaducer, AC, Calcrafts). Some weeks ago he arrive my home with it and all parts in a box and say me please assemble and setup it for me. I have some troubles but dont resist the oportunity of have this baby in my bench. Then i readed the instructions and now find the balance (CG) with all parts inside to start assemble any suggestion i`ll aprecciate.

Nice Hull and congratulations to AC people from Canada, it should be wonderfull performance.

Thanks again Ron for your words and sorry my bad english...

Cristian, nice to see you in here again and don't worry about your English as it's better than some in here whose native language is English!
Your friend is going to love this boat. He may want to get a modified engine later on but the stock one will do fine while he gets experience.
I got to meet Andy, the owner of AC Model Boats about 1-1/2 years ago. He doesn't talk much but his boats speak volumes for him.

Just an FYI - There is an AC 40 Magnum for sale at IW for $185 shipped (in the US). It comes with "radio box 2 servos fail safe antenna mount with ugly orange tube 3 seals and switch".
