Seaport Workboat Build
I finnaly got around to getting my Seaport Workboat Tug sea worthy. I gutter her and added all new electronics (some Axial AX10 stuff I had laying around) and had to fabricate a new motor mount (made out of a tamiya spray can lid) & a Z bend servo link. I also added some needed ballast, removed the tower and fire hose, filled in the slats in the bottom of the hull (used to provide water to the fire hose), and cut off the tires on the sides of the boat, and I'll probably remove the lifeboat and crane as well. I am very proud of my handy work.
JR standard servo
Axial AX10 RTR ESC
Axial AX10 RTR 27T motor
Axial Ax10 RTR RX
JR TX
9.6V 8 Cell AA NIMH Battery
LEAD Ballast
Sory about the fuzzy pictures

O/K/. that is looking pretty good. BTW, what are you going to do with the tires you cut off? If you have no other project in mind I would like to buy them for a tug I'm getting ready to build. They 'look like' they are about the right scale, 1:24 or 1:25, either will work.

I reattached the tires with rope, reused the fire hose tower parts to make a propper top/roof deck with extra spot light and radar, and I also reused the old towers ladder as access to the top deck/roof.

RE: Seaport Workboat Build
I have been using all the spare bits I had from the original tower (looked more like an oil rig) and added another level, shortened the flag pole, and added the last water canon. Any ideas on what to do with the life boat and crane I was thinking of replacing it was a scale zodiac boat anyone know where to get one? I added a picture of the boat how it looked out of the box for comparison. Thanks.

170 views and only two replies and they were by the same guy! come on people the reason I created this thread (and I assume most other people) is to share my hobby, get feed back, and learn new things.

How about 195 views (and counting) and 16 replies (and again counting). Man you're HOT!, you just don't know it. I know I try to keep up with your progress every day.
Your boat really is looking sharp. BTW, that's one powerful motor judging by the way the boat tilts when you give her the juice. [X(] I have to agree you have made quite an improvement over the stock model.

Thanks the motor is over kill I know but can you ever have to much power in a tug boat? Thanks for all the comments! I did end up painting the life boat and crane the same color (grey) all I need to do now is add some lights. Who is up for some night boating?
