Default "Y" adapter for water cooling

Here's a cheap alternative for a double water pick-up to feed a single feed water pump. After searching all my hobby stores nobody could come up with a solution. They all had "T" fittings but I felt it did not look right or feel right for good waterflow. These "Y" fittings are found under the hoods of cars and split your windshield squirters and can be found at any self-serve wrecking yards. The are single barbed and work very well. They may not be fancy but come in colors (both black and white) and they work!

Good idea, you should put a small wire tie around the hoses to lock it on the barb. It would suck if one came off and filled your hull full of water,

More importantly burn your motor up. Actually they fit those T's pretty tight and go on a long way. Can even be tough to get back apart
once the hose gets stuck. The short brass fittings are the ones that like to come off. I cut a small peice or tubing and double it up on the end
like a clamp. Have blown over and had the hose rip off and left the end still on the fitting.

I will put clamps of some sort on but this style of fitting is very strong. It takes an incredible amount of force to pull the tubing off. If you go to an auto wrecker try pulling the lines off. Besides there isn't as much pressure on the lines as compared to a window squirter pump. But better safe than sorry.......
