Hi all,, new to this forum. Well with the gift giving season comming I want to buy my son-in-law a R/C boat. So I figured I would post a question or two on which boat stands outfor the money. I only want to spend under a 100$ on a R.T.R. boat. I have my eye on this http://www.bananahobby.com/1116.html It looks like a pretty good deal. Sooooo, is there something out there thats better? I'm not into boats but figure Ill get one next spring, so I dont know much about boats. I do Have a nitro Revo I bash around with. I dont want lipo batts or upgrades for him due to the cost, So any input on a good boat for the $$$$ would be nice. I know a 100 bucks wont get you much But I figured a few posts might help a Boat noob like me. Thanks. Oh, I hope my posting a link isnt a No-No on this forum.

the quality seems to suffer, flimsy wiring and hardware.
it also will not get the advertised 40 to 45mph speed, not even close.
have a look at the links below, they may be smaller but more bang for the buck in my opinion.
hopefully someone else will chime in.

My Feedback: (1)

Dan again is right on the money. That boat might hit 10-12 MPH on a good day. Banana Hobby hasn't got the best reputation on this site either, do a search for their name.
Here's another Aquacraft boat that's a lot of fun for under $100.00, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=SM&I=LXMPG3** .
What's good about Aquacraft boats is that you can get replacement parts if you ever need them. If anything happens to that other boat, lots of luck in getting it fixed.
