Like Dan said or
the 3PM-X with the 603FF or 603FS receiver.
or if you feel like spending more money the 4PK,
I cannot comment on the Airtronic since I have no personal experience with their radio system.
you can also use Corrosion X to water proof, but the best solution is a good waterproof radio box.
Dan.
by the way Dan, great test.

I use a 3PM and a 4PK with 603FF, 603FS, and 604FS receivers. Flawless performance to date.
Futaba does not recommend wrapping the RX in a balloon or tightly with foam. I simply spray with CorrosionX and let it go. If it gets wet, I open the case, use canned air to blow out the water and respray with CorrosionX. Ready for use again in about 3 minutes.

you could strip the rx, cover the pins with a bit of foam, thin layer of resin on the botton and corrosion x on the top
