Design Help
I want to build a scale coast guard 87 foot coastal patrol boat. Does any one have an idea what scale to build this boat to? This is my first scale boat. Anything welcome. Any ideas on engines. I have a R/C car and was going to use its engine and steering for the boat. I'm not looking for speed on this boat.

here's a place in seattle i found with plans for the hull you want to build. scroll down to the bottom of the page to the 87' CG patrol boat. it's 1/50 scale. they have a bunch of other coast guard plans too.

that's about 5 and a half feet. electric i assume? scale speeds? a couple of large batteries would make a good ballast, and you'd have reverse. maybe try contacting dumas-

but i would inquire for their advice by email or phone. they can help you, they've been in business for a long time. there may be other or better resources on the web. try googling here and search for your needs.
