Ijust purchased a widowmaker.
so far I have changed the Prop as the plastic one keeps breaking...now have a Grim steel that works well. But i now have discovered a small (1/4")round hole in the hull about an inch from the transom.
any suggestions on how to repair it? It is not leaking but you can see the fiberglass mat thru the hole.
they say it is fiberglass but it feels more like ABS.
could i just put some glue in the hole?

If the hull is fiberglass like they say, you have lost a chunk of gelcoat. That's a fairly easy fix as you can get gelcoat from most auto body supply houses. I'm sure there are many in here that can give you more info on how to repair the hull as I'll be the first to say I'm not a painter[

My Feedback: (1)

The site says that it's 'glas.
Is the hole all the way through or just a little chunk missing> If it's the first one and it's on the bottom then fill it with some epoxy from the inside and just cover the hole with radio box tape while it cures. It won't be pretty but the bottom doesn't really show anyway while on the water. A chip can be filled using the same stuff, just wipe off the excess.

Thanks, I will try the epoxy .
It is a chip as I can see the fiberglass (??) matting thru the chip.it does not leak, as yet.
