fully detailed flatty vdrive river boat
 

SO! its been a wile since i wanted too brag about another boat i built from absolute scratch, but i think this is worthy of such cause..... ive been thinking about this since i was 13 yrs old, i am 48 now and i think its turning out to be better then in my dreams.....with all the tech today at my finger tips i started with a ender3 3d printer and then building a complete cnc machine to cnc aluminum, including the Arduino fed cnc controller... i find the fact amusing that i can do it all and i dont need to buy a servo or turn rudders or a hull. most of my builds hang on the wall, its the chase of the build i like, not the kill...."look what i "bought" or "look at what i built"
this boat is 99% raw materials that i made or dreamed up, i could have made all the electronics even down to winding and casing a brushless motor and speed control etc etc.. but at some point i must put a stop to my OCD, ADHD, ADD, running off an iq of 123, pushing me with hyperactivity, all the wile being infested with hepatis C.
BACK TO THE SUBJECT.....
its a 1/16in balsa wood hull covered in fiberglass resin
only 4 parts on the completely scale and detailed LSX3 2000hp V8 are 3d printed plastic, everything else is aluminum and weighs less then painted plastic 3d crap i tried to produce at first....
fully working v drive unit with sealed bearings and aluminum gears sitting in a sealed grease filled gear box.
working water ports on a real LS3 V8 going in to the electric motor inside.
straight 4mm with 3.17in threaded end prop shaft, amazingly i got to go in at 6.8 degrees which is about 1 degree less then a real flatty that wants to go fast..
so many details that its hard to make pictures justify the amount of time i have into this...
I already have another one one the burner with lots more detail....like a moving blower belt and open closing butterfly's on the scoop, skeleton in the drivers seat with fpv camera and try to implement a facial recognition for an on and off switch, then i could mind fk the boat with an angry face to power on, i will be the only one that can turn it on...
i am close to being able to call this one ALMOST FINISHED, going to float it next week when the sun comes out again in way north California..
heres some pics...note its not done....dash, gauges, fuel pump, alternator, gas tanks, moving steering wheel, fuel lines and injector rail with pressure gauge, etc etc...
since my last visit i have built 5 other boats, all work great, mostly riggers, and even one that runs on a EMAX 2600kv red top motor...

26 inches.... about the size of a old 4 seater Sanger flat bottom if it was a 1/10 scale..
Most of the screws are 1.5mm..
the motor is able to be taken apart. blower, blower caps, headers, heads, valve covers, etc etc all unscrew like a real v8...
