The difference between the Kyosho Atlantio 059, and 600.
 

What's the difference between these two models? I have an Atlantio 059 and the 600 exactly the same...? Does anyone know more?

As far as i know, Kyosho Atlantio has only two versions: 600 and 800.

Kyosho doesn't make the Atlantio 059. Didn't you buy the boat off E_B_A_Y? I seem to remember your threads about it... Anyway, if that's the case, email one of the current sellers of the boat and ask them for the name of the manufacturer.
How did the water-cooling you were going to attempt work out?

The Atlantio 059 is made by NQD (China?) and looks like a copy/ripoff of the Kyosho Atlantio 600, or maybe it's the other way around, or maybe it comes from the same factory after all...

I bought one of these (in UK). It does not say Kyosho on the box (that's would be very illegal here), it says NEWQIDA, Made In China. It goes fine, and for about 1/3rd the price of an Atlantio 600.

Did you buy yours on EBAY?
I've seen them on EBAY, and was thinking of getting one, as they look ok and sell for under £50.
How well made are they, and what do they sail like?
How much run time do you get with the supplied battery pack?
The R/C is fixed frequency - i.e no way to modify the frequency via removable crytals.
Is there anyway to control the speed, or is just a case of motor on/off - and what about in reverse? There seems to be loads
of space in the boat from the pictures above, so adding a speed controller shouldn't be a problem.

It's a great boat...it sails real good, and it's Deep V hull is made to jump big wakes. I bought mine, the Cruise 2, off of ebay a few months ago. No problems at all, and a very good watertight boat. The build quality is pretty good. No speed controller, it just goes on/off. But it has reverse. Yes there is loads of space to work with in the hull. Very roomy. The standard battery pack runs for about 8 minutes. I bought an extra 3300mAh battery pack to go with it and that lasts for about 18 minutes. The standard battery pack that it comes with is a 7.2v 1700mAh stick pack. It rides really well over the water and goes about 10 miles an hour. It will flip back up if flipped over in the water. I placed it in the water upside down and it flipped back up, with not a drop on the electronics. It comes with a pistol grip transmitter, and has a 300 foot range It's a very good boat...I recommed it.

Man my top latch broke for my Atlantio...it's this latch that holds the top on....It fell off it's stand and it broke...does anyone know where I can get replacement parts?

I don't think they make replacement parts for this boat lol i got one too and i have been looking online for parts with not luck, in the box says replace part with kyosho parts but the boat is made by NQD some chinese company who knows how to get hold of them, and since it is fairly cheap about $35 to $50 i doubt you get parts for this boat let me know if any luck.
