Somebody explain

Ok im new to most of this
I think i got this right.
The dive system in a boat goes like this:
Motor (usaly 05) thenmotor mount, Motor cupler, flex shaft running inside a teflon tube, then the strut then drive dog then porp?

Few more questions
1. if you have a 3/16 shaft then you need to match the drive dog and the prop with a 3/16 shaft i guess?

2. what does 130 or 150 mean in a flex shaft mean? Is it the length of the shaft?

3. Is a 1/8 or a 3/16 prop bigger and which would be bes suited for a 6-8 cell rigger?

I hope sombody can anwser these. I think i understand just need some clarity.

Cheers Bates

1. Yes.
2. 130 or 150 is actually .130" or .150" diameter. The .130" is just a rounded off .125" or 1/8". .150" is slighly larger.
3. The 1/8" or 3/16" refers to the hole drilled in the hub of the prop, not prop size. For your boat, I'd go with the 1/8" drive as most props that you'll need will have the 1/8" bore. Your boat is right on the edge of going to the 3/16" drive but electric boats aren't my strong area. I have some flex cables that I can quickly interchange to go from a 1/8" drive to a 3/16" drive using the 1/8" flex cable. The stub shafts are the only difference.
