do trim tabs make a big difference?

as my pack starts to wear down on my blast i have a harder and harder time getting on plane. i mean from 1/2 pack down not just at the dump point. would trim tabs help? i can't move the cg back on the boat as the pack is in the nose and has a little pocket it sits in. if i put on tabs should i keep them on an even plane off the transom or bend them up or down? how far off the transom should i make them? i will be getting a better prop next week too which i hope will help. mabye same diameter but a little more pitch?

trim tabs should help. what you want to do is move some weight to the front not the back. If you install tabs you want them bent down.

wait, your boat has a steerable outdrive, so just adjust the propeller angle.

i have the top of the outdrive all the way back right now. that is how it came from the factory. it says i can tilt it up to bring the front of the boat up a bit but i thought that would make the rear end dig in more and not plane as easily?

no, with the prop pointing up it brings the hull up out of the water so it planes better. If you point the propeller down then it will force the bow to dive into the water and the boat won't be able to plane, it will just plow through the water.
