Help!!!!
How do i stop my boat bouncing on corners. Do i need to move the trim tabs, The boat is a Volvo B24 and seems to boune on right hand turns.
Could it be due to where the exhaust is positioned on these boats. The rudder is to the right and the exhaust is to the left so the weight of the exhaust throws the CG out. Maybe i need to counterweight the exhasut or get a lighter one please help me. |
RE: Help!!!!
Turn fins, which are mounted 90 degrees from the running surface, will stop the sliding and bouncing in the turns.

RE: Help!!!!
Is seems to be more on right hand turns, Had a play with trim tabs and seemed to make it a tad better. How do trim tabs work do i need to set them both the same or 1 up 1 down.
Say if i put the just left trim tab down what will that do. |
RE: Help!!!!
I don't use trim tabs. They are probably just slowing the boat down enough to help the bouncing. Turn fins will allow you to corner at full speed, while only slightly slowing down because of the extra load on the engine.

RE: Help!!!!
Trim Tabs are for controling the desire of your boats front end to bounce on the straights . Turn Fins are for controling the boats desire to hop , skip , and flip in the turns . I personally use both of these if my boat is fast enough that they are required . And I use a left and a right Turn Fin because I don't just turn my boats to the right at high speeds!!! . As for your Trim Tabs adjustments they should be adjusted evenly and you should slowly adjust them down untill the front of the boat just stops bouncing in the straight-aways , no further!!! Hope I've been some help and worded my reply properly . Good Luck and Enjoy .
