painting my hull
 
hi guys i have searched in here and am very confused, i want to sand and paint my shickwave 55 a different color....what do i do
1. sand
2. spray paint


how do i get that gloss coat on there and how do i apply it?

what are the steps?
HELP!

First use a tar&wax remover to clean the hull off with,if not use denatured alco then wet sand the hull with 320-400 grit paper and use a red scotch bright pad to sand areas that you can get a sand paper too, then prime it if it has and chips in the paint. if not and the surface is good the just seal it and paint it. I use automotive paints that you use a spray gun with. I spray urothanes. Paints I use dupont NASON and NAPA's crossfire base coat clear coat system.

so i dont need to put a gloss on it or anyting? what about a gel coat?

you'll will have a gloss finish when you paint it.

is there a place where i can see some picss of some boats that are painted by guys, i want to do a fade from front to back red to white
