Lifeboat: self righting test
This happened yesterday, Saturday 09/20/2008, in a lake we have in the province of Buenos Aires.
I built my Mersey class (well, not to scale) lifeboat, with self-righting capability...but that had to be proved: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLxzf1ydUaQ The deck is attached to the hull with 1 nylon screw at the stern and a tip under the fore deck. Under it there's another water tight "deck". It even doesn't have any wiring exiting it, the on-off switch is a magnetic one (a reed relay), the lighting system is mounted in the cabin, completely separated from the hull. The antenna wire runs through a hose. And of course it kept on running after the test! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Me9L6nkLbZw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A88EKhGLlmo Here's a link to the building process, (still) in Spanish sorry, but easy to follow with plenty of pics. http://www.camne.com.ar/presentandom...villaverde.htm Regards Robert |

Automatic translations don't consider context, so the results are a bit misunderstood.
