Looking for Kit or plans

Greetings
I am looking for a boat kit or plans the sole purpose of which is to diaplay and electric
outboard engine I have had since I was a kid some 50 plus years ago. the boat I
orginally had was a cabin cursier about 12 to 15 inches long. it is long since gone.

here is a picture of the engine:

Thanks for the help

There are about a dozen or so outboard plans here,...

Just scale the plans to your motor, and you should get
a great little model for your display.

Thanks Umi
Not only are there lots of plans but they are of the time period of the
motor-1950's.

Glad to hear you say period correct. There are three kits on eBay right now that are collector's kits perfect size and can usually be copied and built quite easily. I would say these are more of a "carved" model than built-ups.

You would have a nice kit to always keep with it, and also a copy of your own to hang the outboard on next to it. If you resold it, you might even re-coup your loss on the balsa of your keeper. Prices can go towards a $100 I would think. These are starting out about $30.

An electric outboard was my first powered toy boat, however being five or six years old I never built a boat for it other than a cut half-gallon cardboard milk container to hang it on and hit the biggest puddle with it that I could find after a rain.

Thanks for the photos and inspiration

I have been looking at the Caballero from the Svensons plans.

Where do you purchase your wood etc. Sorry but I am not a boat builder but model
airplanes of the RC type. Any and all links appreciated

Gary
