newbie needs help
 
i have had a billion rc cars and now im looking for a boat. i prefer eletric cause in NJ most lakes are eletric only. i want to be able to use in lakes and a slow moving river called the paulinskill i do not want to spend a ton of money seeing that im in college and at college only place for a boat is if i go to the hudson river so the boat will only get used in the summer and when im home so i dont want to spend a ton of money. i also want a boat that has soem good speed and upgradable. also want parts to easily be found

budget be tops liek 250 since i can only really use it in the summer and type idk? what types are there

Types would be like a Tug boat, War ships, DeepVee/Mono, Cat, Sport Hydro.

$ 250 should buy a very nice boat.

Do you want Military .....civilian......work boat....cruiser / yacht......racing........ possible submarine?

Need to know you 1 st & 2 nd preferences.

Do or can you use the RC stuff from your cars. Both are surface frequencies. That would save a bunch of money. How large & what size car motor could we "borrow" ?

hmm idk i want something with speed and that is stable and that i dont have to paint military would be cool see i dont know much about boats but rc cars i knwo a lot and motor size all i have are 540/ 550 i am getting a traxxas summit with a 770 size but i cant steal that motor

I might add that I have never found RC boaters near me. I just run them on my own. RC cars are all over the state.
Something to check out BEFORE spending any money on a boat.

dan s i looked at the links the suppervee brushless is nice but im not sure i will only be able to use the boat in the summer so i dont want a lot of money invested into one if i wont use it much but i guess the brushless one is a lot faster and better built and i already have bats with deans on them and i think the brushless will sell better if i decide i dont liek it

oh ok and ye si knwo in jersey boating not popular but i have the paulinskill lake and a few others within a 5 minute drive from my house so its not bad
