I am from Southeastern MA, right near the cape, I have an old slow electric that I need to repair, but would be more motivated if there was more people around. I am pretty sure there was a group who ran in Wareham, MA near route 6, I remember seeing a thread about it.
Anyone else out there?

I'm still here in Centerville, but since I can't find anybody else to run boats with, I fly planes with the local Marstons Mills model airplane club. Still have nitro and electric speed boats ready to go.

Who are you kidding Larry - Ponds are not full - they are flooding!!! All the towns around me are in a state of emergency - and I have my Mother in law here because she cannot get to her house tonight - now that is a desperate situation. :)

Believe the RI guys have been running a couple of times at Kilvert. I have been trying to get there.

Storm brings historic flooding to Northeast
M. Ressler, Lead Meteorologist, The Weather Channel
Mar. 30, 2010 5:33 pm ET

A coastal low strengthens just south of Long Island, New York producing more unwelcome, heavy rain in the Northeast.

Heavy, wind-driven rain throughout the Northeast corridor will increasingly shift northward through New England. Winds could locally gust 40 to 50 mph along the southern Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts coasts.

Rainfall is over 8 inches in parts of southern New England with more to come. As of late afternoon, storm totals so far include: 8.75" in East Providence, RI; 7.98" in Warwick, RI; 7.12" in Taunton, MA; 7" in Westhampton Beach, NY; 6.77" in Yantic, CT; 6.55" in Groton, CT; 6.22" in Westerly, RI; 4.25" in Boston and 4.11" at JFK Airport in New York City. Some parts of eastern New England could see 1 to 3 more inches of rain by early Wednesday.

Flooding is or will be historic in some locals in southern New England including the Sudbury River at Saxonville, MA; the Pawtuxet River at Cranston, RI and the Woonasquatucket River at Centerdale, RI.

Hey Larry,
I lost track of the boat show this year...never knew it was coming! Was it as good or better than usual? Weather and turnout OK? Definitely a cool show, I'd like to see some new work from some of those diorama guys. Was Elio Oliviera there? He headed it when I last attended. Let's run boats sometime!

I'd like to join you guys sometime. It's been years since I ran boats with other boaters and I'd drive from the Cape to Plymouth to meet up! Boats that work are the 3.5cc outboard Dumas Sprint, one homemade .15 size cat and a SV 27 electric, all pending battery check. I'll tell you my 27MHz radio frequencies if you are not using 2.4GHz, to avoid conflict if we can. Cool man!

Larry,

Thanks for the info. I bet that spot in Wareham is prime right about now with all of the rain. I would like to get out and run with you and Wally, Wata and anyone else up for it this spring.

Will: Think about taking a trip down to Kilvert St in Warwick RI this spring. I have been there a couple of times and it is a great place to run. We just need to let the flood waters recede a bit.

Hey Quickdraw... wait for me, wait for me. :D
